I had seen a RAW Foodist use this in a DVD I had purchased and she had only good things to say about it. I had bought one for my daughter and she loved it. I was feeling a need to replace my GE processor as I've had it for years. When I recieved my processor I watched the video (that came with it) right away. It was a Great help. I made a huge pan of scallop potatoes. I had them uniformly sliced in no time. My husband was even impressed. I liked that it didn't make the slices paper thin. The video showed tricks to getting even slices of everything including onions. It does a great job of pureeing foods for my grand daughter also. I feel it is worth every penny I paid for it. I absolutely love it. It does a wonderful job and is saving me a ton of time.

While I usually chop on a plastic cutting board with a big chef's knife, the Cuisinart makes several tasks a lot easier. Chopping cooked or raw meat is one. If you are making hash from leftover corned beef, a short burst in this food processor is the easiest way to go. For mixing certain pastry doughs (pie or pate brisee) this is also a very good item to have, although you have to be careful to go slowly and not overprocess. The one thing the Cuisinart does is heat up the dough if you whirl it around too much, so you have to be careful. And if you put too heavy a bread dough in, using the plastic bread blade, you can heat the shaft up enough to jam the blade onto the central post and that's a big nuisance. However, with these cautions, the Cuisinart is hands-down my favorite food processor and for shredding, slicing thinly or chopping, pretty much the best kitchen appliance for the job.

This food processor is extremely well designed and well constructed. It makes my food preparation much quicker. One word of caution, unless you need to prepare food for more than 2 people, this is not for you. Quantity of food makes a difference in your experience. I don't chop my green onions or mince one or two carrots in there. It won't work.

I received my lovely new food processor in excellent condition. I really loved my old one (Hamilton Beech) which I had for many years until I tried the Cuisinart. It is sooooooo fantastic by the way it chops, grates & slices food in a flash!!! Also, the motor is very powerful and quiet, unlike my old machine. I didn't know what I was missing all these years. This was definitely a good choice for me and it fits perfect in the same spot as the old food processor. There are just two of us, so the 7-cup processor works great! I would highly recommend it!!

This is a classic, simple to operate, never-fail food processor. Not too much, not too little and very durable. I had one exactly like it that stood up to 10 years of hard use. When my old one wore out, I immediately began looking for the exact same model because it had worked so well for so long. I was very pleased to find the exact same model & it is working wonderfully, hopefully for another 10+ years!

I never used a food processor until I bought this wonderful little Cuisinart. I bought it almost one year ago before Christmas, mainly to grind ham for ham balls, and to grind other meats. I didn't realize the broad scope and other capabilities of this little gem.

I enjoy cooking and prepare most meals from scratch, but I never thought I'd find much use for a food processor. I was wrong! I watched the DVD that came with the processor, and was especially motivated to use it after seeing the chef prepare the recipes in the included recipe book. The apple pie is a snap with this processor. I am always amazed how it just zips through any task - from grinding meat to bread crumbs. I like scalloped potatoes and this baby zips through enough potatoes to prepare a batch in no time. Homemade flavored mayonnaise spreads and horseradish are the best! Thanks to the included dough blade, I make way to much homemade pizza and rolls - but it's all good. The 7-cup size is perfect for most things. It handles liquids well - however larger quantities need to be processed in batches otherwise it can get messy with leaking. A blender is really better suited for liquid items

Clean up is a cinch. The machine quickly disassembles and is dishwasher safe - the motor base just wipes down. Plus this set up is a super value for the money with the extra slicing/shredding disks, the dough blade and the compact cover. The package starts you out with the general basics you need and additional disks can always be added later.
